ADDICTION TREATMENT
We believe in celebrating each individual’s unique journeys and strengths.
Solstice West meets a long-overlooked sector for substance abuse and addiction programs explicitly tailored to young women. Our approach aims to assist young people in comprehending why they turn to substances or addictive behaviors as a coping mechanism. We equip them with the tools to regulate their behaviors safely.
We understand that traditional 12-step programs often involve labeling oneself as an addict, but we believe in empowering individuals to move beyond such definitions. Staff at Solstice create a supportive and nurturing environment where young women can heal, grow, and thrive. By addressing the underlying Why behind substance use and providing comprehensive tools for self- improvement, we empower our students to embrace a brighter future.
Dedicated Resources:
Bi-weekly sessions with our dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor and Addictions Counselor, who works closely with Primary Therapists to meet individual needs & discuss a treatment plan.
Weekly substance abuse group for students overcoming substance-related addictions.
Weekly addictions group for students addicted to technology, negative self-talk, or lower-risk substances such as nicotine.
SMART Recovery and the Addictive Voice
At Solstice, students learn to identify and separate their true voice from their Addictive Voice. Students learn that the Addictive Voice is an expression of their appetite that originates in the biological, animal side of human nature. In severe addiction the desires related to satisfaction appear to become confused with the desire to survive, making students think that addiction is needed to survive.
Students at Solstice also learn that they don’t overcome their addictions just by stopping. They overcome them by focusing on creating a new life, where passions begin and thrive, making it is easier to not use.
Thank you so much for helping me figure out what I truly want and realize my passions. For both substances and my education, what I was missing was replacing addiction with passions. I’ve reimmersed myself in the things that I love and things that I am passionate about, and it has changed my life completely.

Through this comprehensive, clinically supported approach, we can facilitate genuine healing and provide individuals with the tools they need to achieve lasting recovery.
