Residential Treatment Centers For Depression for Families From Wyoming

Leading Residential Treatment Centers For Depression in Wyoming Helps Teens Achieve Success

Solstice is one of the leading residential treatment centers for depression for teen girls and assigned female at birth aged between 14 and 18 from across the United States, including Wyoming. We help teens on their journey towards overcoming their challenges and achieving success by walking the Hero’s Journey. Each student walks a unique and personal path towards discovering the hero within themselves at their own pace. Their journey focuses on people, discovery, growth, and mastery.

While the journey itself may be their own, the girls and assigned female at birth do not travel it alone. With help from their families, during their journey, they emerge as stronger individuals, as heroes. Residential Treatment Centers For Depression Wyoming

Our 44-bed facility is located in Layton, Utah, just 20 minutes away from Salt Lake City. Although we are located in Utah, we accept teens from Wyoming and all across the country. Sometimes, a little distance help the healing process for both the girls and assigned female at birth and their families.

Unlike most other residential treatment programs, Solstice doesn’t just stick to the traditional methods of treatment. We take a holistic approach, where the connection between mind and body is given emphasis in order to create lasting and effective change. Below are some of the areas in which this approach is emphasized:

  • Importance of Family: We believe strongly in the importance of family relationships. The core of our programming is based on healing damaged relationships and restoring healthy connections within the family system through therapy sessions and seminars.
  • Focus on Physical Fitness and Nutrition: Mental and emotional well-being is very closely tied to physical health. Students work closely with our nutritionist and fitness director to develop personal plans to become physically healthier through better eating habits and by participating in various regular workouts.
  • Prominence of Academics: While focusing on the healing process, the student’s education should not be left behind. Our accredited system helps them through an individualized academic plan with specific measurable goals that support their learning and therapeutic process.

Although Solstice is located in Utah, we help teens from all across the country, including Wyoming

Often, most residential treatment centers for depression and trauma focus on changing the behavior or emotional state of a student rather than healing the underlying issue. This is akin to treating the symptoms of an illness rather than the illness itself. However, at Solstice, our holistic approach to therapy aims to treat the whole person and not just the problem behavior’. We acknowledge that our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational selves are all bound together. And in order for each aspect of a person to be healthy, all other aspects must be in balance as well.

For example, many types of addictions including, substance abuse, self-harming, and unhealthy relationships are symptoms of deeper mental and psychological issues. We focus on getting to the core of the problem, and building a strong foundation rather than simply reducing the symptoms in order to bring about lasting change in a student.

And we don’t stop there. Lasting change can only be lasting when the student is leading their life successfully even after the completion of the program. That’s why Solstice’s unrivaled and unique Transition Support program is an integral component that provides support in preparation for, and throughout the transition back into the home environment.
