Solstice, a premier boarding school in Utah, offers an expansive Fine Arts program for teen girls and assigned female at birth ages 14-18 as part of their holistic approach to therapy. In addition to a full curriculum geared towards academic learning and success, Solstice offers the following classes to help Florida teens find new and therapeutic methods of expression:

Painting: This elective class allows students to apply what they learned from the Art Foundations classes to painting. They explore various mediums and canvases to create expressive work based on classic and contemporary art. Self-Expression is a powerful tool for confidence, assertiveness, and connectivity.

Art Foundations I & II: These classes focus on the fundamentals of art, including two and three-dimensional design and drawing. Students learn a variety of basic art concepts, like color theory, studio techniques, and aesthetics as they experiment with various types of media. Teens will also be exposed to various art movements and how they impacted the history of art.

Drawing: Students learn basic building blocks of art by learning how to accurately see and record objects using a variety of media such as colored pencils, pastels, and graphite.
