We believe few students per therapist allows for significantly increased access to the therapist, and for the therapist to have time outside of session to spend with their clients. Every week students receive a minimum of 3+ hours of individual / family therapy.
Guided by our relationship-based approach, the therapists understand the clinical value of spending time with the girls beyond the walls of the therapist office. The ability to build rapport outside of the office setting is critical to the development of a therapeutic alliance, which is necessary in the healing process.
Therapists often participate in outings, camping trips, recreation activities, and mealtime with residents. Participation in these and other activities outside of the therapy office results in deeper, more trusting relationships, thereby facilitating more effective therapeutic impact.
