College Counseling and Preparedness

  • ACT/SAT
    • Solstice provides test preparation materials and classes for each student who needs to take one or both of these college entrance assessments.
Based on the last five years of ACT scored, Solstice students’ academic preparedness for college subjects was far superior than the state average in all tested subject areas. In fact, the percentage of Solstice students ready for college curriculum across all four tested subjects was 74% higher than the state average.

  • College Admissions
    • Most Solstice students are college-bound. As such, teachers at Solstice work diligently to help students follow a structured academic plan that meets college admissions criteria. Teachers assist students with the sometimes daunting experience of sifting through various colleges, help with the application and essay writing process, and also provide scholarship, financial aid, and community service support.
