Solstice offers Specialty Groups to provide more intensive, focused effort around the issues our girls and assigned female at birth commonly face. While many of these issues are addressed through individual therapy, we have specialty groups to utilize the power of the group—where peers can share their fears, struggles, and successes together. Experience and research demonstrate that a group approach offers greater outcomes for our struggling young women.
Groups run on weekly basis for 90 min per group, and are led by licensed clinicians. Groups run for approximately 10 to 12 weeks, after which girls and assigned female at birth move to different specialty groups based on their individual needs.
These groups change over time to meet the changing needs of our girls.
Typically, specialty groups focus on:
Equine therapy
Adoption
Addictions
Trauma recover
Healthy relationships
Grief and loss
Seeking safety
Way of being
Women’s issues
Art and music therapy
